SERVICES
THE
FOLLOWING SERVICES ARE DESIGNED TO FURTHER ENHANCE
YOUR LAWN. GRUBPROOFING AND LIME ARE ALWAYS HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED.
|
| |
|
GRUBPROOFING
vs. GRUB CONTROL
GRUB CONTROL is
a curative application. This treatment is applied
after a grub problem is detected. Grub problems
can be difficult to detect in their early stages
due to the grubs developing beneath the topsoil
and hidden from sight; therefore sporadic grub damage
is likely to occur. If you have a grub problem,
damage will likely occur during the months of April
or late July and August.
GRUBPROOFING is
a preventative application that is 100% guaranteed
effective for the entire season. It is applied with
the Late Spring application, thus preventing grub
damage throughout their active cycle, which is the
Fall and following Spring.
(BOTH GRUB CONTROL AND GRUBPROOFING
APPLICATIONS ARE MOST EFFECTIVE IF THEY ARE HEAVILY
WATERED IN SHORTLY FOLLOWING THE APPLICATION.) |
|
|
PELLETIZED
LIME
Lime helps maintain a proper
soil ph level. In simple terms, lime neutralizes
the soil to allow for better turf growth and improved
response from fertilization applications. Lime also
contributes to natural thatch breakdown and decreases
the incidence of some turf diseases and weeds. Lime
treatments are normally applied during the late
Summer and Fall season. |
| |
|
TREE
/ SHRUB FERTILIZATION
Tree and Shrub Fertilization
is applied twice during the Spring season to ensure
a healthy start to the growing season and to replenish
nutrients that have been exhausted during the previous
season. Tree and Shrub Fertilization in the Fall
is not encouraged as the growth process diminishes
toward the end of the year. Excessive fertilization
at this time can be harmful to ornamentals. |
|
|
SHRUB
BED WEED CONTROL
Shrub Bed Weed Control is applied to your shrub
bed areas twice during the Spring season. It is
a service that greatly minimizes the event of weed
infestation in bed areas. Touch up applications
are offered at no additional cost throughout the
season. It is important to note that a healthy application
of mulch, generally 3-4 inches in depth, to your
bed areas, works very well in cooperation with this
application to diminish weed problems. |
|
|
FLEA AND TICK CONTROL The flea and tick control program involves two granular applications on your lawn per season. A liquid application is also applied to woody perimeter areas if required. This application program is designed to significantly reduce the threat of elevated flea and tick populations on your property thoughout the season and into the following spring. The applications are typically applied in the spring and late summer. |
|
|
|
DISEASE
CONTROL
Disease Control is only offered when disease activity
has been detected in your lawn, and only when
all other IPM
alternatives have been examined in an effort
to control the problem. Disease control products
are fungicides designed to neutralize the fungal
activity in your lawn which is causing the turf
disease.
|
|
VEGETATION
CONTROL
This process is used to completely destroy unwanted
areas of wild vegetation such as border areas of
heavy grassy weeds or poison ivy infestations. You
may consult your lawncare technician for the best
approach to control such conditions. |
|
|
SLICE
SEEDING
Slice Seeding is a mechanical seeding process which
involves the slicing and dethatching of damaged
lawn areas and the application of seed into the
layer of exposed cultivated topsoil. This process
eliminates the need for total renovation such as
costly replacement of topsoil and grading. Slice
Seeding does not disturb the existing, healthy lawn
areas, and is often much more affordable than conventional
renovation. |
|
CORE
AERATION
Core Aeration involves the mechanical removal of
small cores of soil in your lawn to allow improved
air circulation and more moisture and fertilization
access to the turf root zone. Core Aeration also
reduces soil compaction and disease activity to
help create healthier roots and a thicker, lush
lawn. |
|
|
PESTICIDE
FREE PROGRAMS
Pesticide Free Programs are offered as an alternative
to pesticide use applications. However, it is
important to note that when there is absolutely
no use of pesticides on your lawn, this means
that there is no protection being applied for
weed or insect activity. (Weed and Insect control
products are pesticides.) Therefore, you are at
a high risk of these types of infestations in
your lawn. Pesticide Free Programs are offered
at the same cost as our Standard Service Program
due to the fact that at anytime during the season
we will apply a weed control or surface insect
control, if needed and only upon your direct request
at no additional charge.
(Keep in mind that when choosing
the Standard Service Program, weed and surface
insect control products are applied in a judiciuos
spot application as prescribed and not necessarily
as a blanket application, thus affording you the
protection that your lawn demands with a minimal
use of pesticides.)

CONSULTATIONS
It is nearly impossible to provide every service
under the sun. We wish to offer the services most
commonly required, and we do so with the quality
and professionalism that you deserve. To expand
beyond reasonable limits would not be fair to our
customers and could adversely impact the high level
of customer satisfaction that we are so proud of
maintaining. If a problem exists at any time, as
a customer of Lawn-Pro, you may request a free consultation.
We will diagnose your lawn problem and recommend
the proper approach toward correcting the situation.
If we do not offer the required service, we can
refer you to one of the many regional landscapers
that we are closely associated with. |
