IS IT SAFER TO
MAINTAIN MY OWN LAWN?
Probably not. If pesticides are needed on your
lawn, they are the same pesticides that a professional
would use. Do-it-yourself applications can be
more hazardous due to the increased potential
that you may be exposed to these pesticides during
your application. Although many people are able
to use pesticides safely, the greatest amount
of pesticide misuse is from homeowner use. There
are also additional hazards such as pesticide
storage around the home. Lawn-Pro will professionally
maintain your lawn in accordance with specified
instructions and you will not have the concern
of leaving half used, open containers around your
home.
MUST THE APPLICATOR PUT
SIGNS ON MY LAWN?
Yes. The applicator is required to post standardized
signs on a lawn treated with a pesticide. The
sign provides notice to you and your neighbors
that a pesticide application was made to a portion
of your lawn. If desired, children should be informed
of the meaning of the sign.
WHAT INFORMATION IS
LEFT AT MY HOME AFTER AN APPLICATION?
The professional applicator will leave you the
invoice, which should include, the name and license
number of the applicator, the date and time of
the application, the trade name of the materials
used, and notes, if needed, on what to do after
the application. You will also receive information
regarding additional services, if required, and
any notation to point out an obvious or potential
problem with the lawn. A return envelope is left
with invoices which require a payment, and twice
per season a newsletter is also left at your home.
This website is also updated periodically to reflect
various precautions regarding your lawn and current
climate or seasonal conditions on the Turf
Bulletin page.
CAN I BE NOTIFIED PRIOR
TO AN APPLICATION?
It is easier to properly maintain your lawn on
the schedule that we design to fulfill your needs.
However, we understand that there may be cases
that you prefer to be pre notified of a visit
that we may schedule. If that is the case, simply
inform our office of such a request and we will
be happy to assist you.
WHAT IF I MUST CONTACT
YOU TO REPORT A PROBLEM?
You can always contact our office, 24 hrs per
